TQCSI’s HACCP Code has become the first recognised, publicly available standard for HACCP in Asia and is believed to be the world’s first approved HACCP Standard.
The popular HACCP Code was formally recognised by JAS-ANZ in 2003 following an exhaustive review process.
This will now allow appropriately accredited certification bodies to audit businesses for their HACCP based, Food Safety Programs against a recognised standard under the JAS-ANZ banner.
President of the TQCSI Group, Craig Bates, explained “currently, any businesses in Asia being certified for their HACCP Program is audited against some nebulous checklist or local rules established by the relevant certification body but which are not available to the client. Now, for the first time, this Code allows businesses to be audited against a published standard that is recognised and credible”.
The HACCP Code was developed after consultation with many industry experts in Australia and throughout Asia. It has been translated into various Asian languages.
